The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) appears not ready to give up its seeming investigation of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
This is as the anti-graft commission on Tuesday said it had arrested George Turnah, popularly regarded as a godson of former President Jonathan, for alleged corruption.
Turnah was a former Special Adviser to Dan Abia, former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and served between 2012 and 2015.
According to the EFCC, Turnah was arrested in Port Harcourt, Rivers State by its operatives in relation to alleged possession of about N2billion belonging to the NDDC.
EFCC stated this in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren.
He said, “Preliminary investigations by the EFCC threw up deposits made in his personal and company bank accounts in excess of N2billion.

“A search conducted in his houses in Port Harcourt and Yenogoa, yielded useful documents.”
Uwujaren further said that Turnah would be arraigned as soon as investigations are concluded in the matter.
EFCC is currently prosecuting relatives and several people who served under former President Jonathan, including his wife Patience, cousin, aides, ministers among others.
