Mide Funmi Martins has explained why he chose to marry Afeez owo who is low to her standard in terms of beauty. For over 13 years, Mide funmi has been marrying to the love of his heart, Afeez Abiodun Owo who is also a yoruba actor.

In a recent interview, when Mide was asked on how she copes with all the pressures put on her marriage with rumours that it has crashed, the pretty babe said,” I am used to it by now. People have been saying a lot. I don’t know what to say again, I have said it so many times before. My husband and I still love each together. He is always with me. He is everything to me.

She further narrated that, “I know that people are saying that because they can’t reconcile how a fine girl like me will be married to someone who is ugly. Yes, I thought of that and that is the reason why people keep wishing us bad.

And they have been saying it right from the onset, that haaa! Their marriage can’t last. They don’t match. They are not perfect match. They don’t fit. “haa omo yen ti fine ju loo, some say Ogun lo lo fun and I said its impossible. How can someone use juju on you for over 13 years. I have 2 kids with him.

I love my family. I love my husband. I am not saying I am not pretty. It is obvious that I am pretty. But I love him like that. Love is not about being beautiful or being handsome. I might marry the most handsome man in the world and I might not be happy with him.

That is one thing people don’t understand about relationships. I am happy with my husband and that is the only thing that matters in marriage. When you are happy and everything is going on well, please what else do you want? So, I am happy with him and fine with him. I love him just the way he is. People should try and understand that”.

Nigeria former beauty queen dies at 22.

Yewande Baruwa, a Nigerian model and former winner of the Miss Charismatic pageant, is died.

She was 22 years old.



The late Obafemi Awolowo University graduate of Public Administration was reported dead on Friday, after a brief illness.



Organiser of the Miss Charismatic pageant, Ronke Tiamiyu confirmed the death on her instagram page.

Tiamiyu wrote ;

“I wish RIP meant “return if possible” My beautiful queen Baruwa Yewande is gone,my sister from another mother,I am short of words right now,I can’t believe I will never see this angel again,continue to rest in the bosom of the lord my queen,”

Former Miss Charismatic Nigeria 2013 and top model, Yewande Baruwa, has died. The 22 year old OAU graduate died in the late hours of Friday April 29th. May her beautiful soul rest in peace..amen.

 The actress,  Mercy Aigbe was reportedly beaten to bloodshell by her husband.

The cause of the domestic violence as at the time of filling this rwport is yet to be ascertained tho a close source is infertility from both parties.

The beating was so much that she was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

This might have brought about the rumours  few minutes ago, that the actressnand her husband have called it quits on their 7 year marriage.

Still on the case of infidelity,  Mercy’s husband is said to have a fair skinned woman named Opemititi who is allegedly responsible for his change in attitude.

Happy birthday to the first lady -- Melania Trump is ringing in her 47th year in Washington.

Trump, who is living in New York through the duration of the school year, is spending her day at a luncheon for Senate spouses.

"Looking forward to today's Senate spouses luncheon at the National Gallery of Art. A wonderful group doing great things for our country!" she tweeted Wednesday morning.

She will also be joined at the National Gallery of Art's newly refurbished East Building by second lady Karen Pence, who just returned from a trip to Asia and Australia, as well as the spouses of Trump administration Cabinet members. She will give remarks at the luncheon, per the White House, which will not be open to press. Photo ops with the first lady are also on the agenda.

Lunch will be catered by Design Cuisine, a local caterer where Trump's social secretary Rickie Niceta Lloyd worked prior to joining the East Wing team. Trump said no to birthday celebration sweets at the luncheon, per a source present at the National Gallery.

The Trumps have busy schedules Wednesday, but they have a private celebration planned in the White House residence in the evening, per East Wing communications director Stephanie Grisham.

Opeyemi Olarinde has not really talked about their marriage since they parted ways, has now decided to share her own side of the story.

In an interview with Bellanaija, Opeyemi said she decided to speak up because she didn’t want a stranger telling her own story.

On their divorce
I am still in court with him. Our divorce is not final, we’ve not even had a trial. The issue now is the last time we went to court, the judge wanted to speak to our children (as they) were also involved in the abuse. My son has a kneecap that was broken when he tried to cover me when his father was beating me. He is just learning how to walk properly again and started playing football in January.

A lot has happened and I’ve kept quiet because I don’t know how to handle this. I kind of saw all this coming though because when I was leaving, he threatened me that if I left, he will destroy me on social media because he has the power to do so as I am nothing and he is everything and there was no way I was going to survive without him.

Why she has decided to speak up now
He is the only man I’ve ever known for that long, so I didn’t exactly know how to handle what happened to me. There was no go-to book or counsellor; my not responding then was me broken, confused and lost. He used to beat me and put her on speaker phone and say “look, I’m beating her and she has refused to leave” then she would scream at me to get out of the house. But I didn’t have anywhere to go.
I had no exit strategy but at the end of the day, I had to leave because if I had died that is how the story would have ended.

Right now reading all that stuff I read yesterday (Wednesday), I have no idea who the person is behind the Twitter account, but I am not a coward and if someone has come out with 100% truth of what happened, then I will speak up.

A stranger can’t be fighting for me and I’m quiet, so I decided to come out and say yes it is true. He was given a court order to stop humiliating me on social media but he hasn’t stopped.

I asked them (my kids) for their permission before I did this interview and my daughter goes “mummy you’ve been quiet, and it’s almost like you are afraid of him.” My son said “mummy you’re afraid of daddy even though we’ve left.” I had to let them know I’m not afraid of him and that’s why I’ve decided to speak up.

BREAKING NEWS: Nollywood actor, Olumide Bakare is dead.

Nollywood veteran actor, Olumide Bakare is dead.

According to his personal assistant, Bakare died in the early hours of Saturday.

An Actor Saidi Balogun also confirmed it in a tweet on his twitter handle, @saidibalogun. He said the veteran actor was gone too soon.

According to reports, he died on his way to the hospital.

February 16, had reported that the Veteran actor had earlier on February 16, fallen critically ill and was admitted currently the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Oyo State.

According to close sources, his medical condition was not improving due to a heart and lung related illness diagnosed by medical experts, adding that he was in need of financial aid to cater for his worsening health.

It was gathered that Olumide Bakare needed about N30,000 daily for diagnosis after having spent over a million naira on medical expenses.

 May his soul rest in perfect peace...Amen.

Funke Akindele has  really done what has left her fans thinking she acted so hostile .

The actress and co host of jenifa's diaries recently fired her close friend, O layode Juliana, popularly known as 'Toyo Baby' in Funke Akindele-Bello's popular Television comic series, Jenifa's Diaries.

According to a close source,  she has been cut from production. A reliable sou revealed they had a disagreement and have now gone their separate ways.

It became slightly more obvious after Juliana was significantly absent at events/parties that held in Funke's mansion in Lekki, Lagos unlike her other former co-stars.

And both has un followed each other on instagram.

Fans has since been thrown in a state of jeopardy, as we fear what will be the fate of jenifa's diaries without our Toyo baby. We hopefully wish and pray they resolve their differences.
