Actor and comedian Charlie Murphy has passed away after a battle with leukemia. Murphy, the older brother of comedian and actor Eddie Murphy, was 57.
He was a successful stand-up comedian, most known for co-starring on and writing for the Chapelle's Show.
His writing credits include several of his brother's films like Norbit, and his acting credits include Are We There Yet, Boondocks and more.
Murphy's wife, Tisha died in 2009 from cervical cancer.
They are survived by their two children.
