Do not pay more than the amount that is printed on any MTN recharge card - MTN warns its consumers.

With the drastic increase in the prices of commodities,  it has now become a trend for traders of different types of goods to deliberately add money to prices of their goods even when there was no need for that.

With this effect, traders of recharge cards especially MTN recharge cards started adding money to the normal price tag on each recharge card ranging from ten naira to 50 naira.

However, MTN has sent a serious warning today to its consumers not to pay more than the amount that was written on any particular MTN recharge card they want to purchase.

This message led us to interrogating some of MTN retailers who told us that their reason for adding money was because they no longer buy at normal prices they used to buy from the wholesalers. Same was the complain of the wholesalers who claimed they now buy at higher rate from the major distributors.

Either ways, we hope consumers adhere to MTN instruction "what you see is what you pay". as this will go a long way to stop the menace.
